La Gazzetta dello Sport journalist Alessandro de Calò believes Simone Inzaghi will ‘study’ Manchester City in the FA Cup Final against Man United and will be inspired by the Red Devils, Chelsea and Antonio Conte.

City and United meet in the FA Cup at Wembley at 15:00 GMT+1 today, Saturday, June 3. Inter visit Torino on the same day in the last Serie A game of the season. The Nerazzurri’s match against the Granata kicks off at 17:30 GMT+1.

“Inzaghi will have a chance to study Man City’s weak points and where they can fall considering that even Pep must have a weakness,” Gazzetta journalist de Calò wrote in Saturday’s printed edition of the newspaper (page 24).

“The Premier League table hints at struggles away from the Etihad with four defeats and four draws. The neutral ground at Wembley will be a great test.”

Man City’s star striker Erling Haaland is clearly seen as the main threat for Inzaghi’s boys in the Champions League Final next week.

“Ten Hag will try to isolate Haaland through Casemiro and Varane,” noted de Calò.

“Antonio Conte had beaten Pep a couple of times before leaving Tottenham. Thomas Tuchel won the Champions League Final in 2021, leaving just one shot on target for City.

“The unity and pace of Chelsea made the difference. There is an avenue, the problem is to go through it and go all the way.”

Next week’s Final at Istanbul’s Atatürk Olympic Stadium will be the first in Europe’s elite competition for Inter since 2009-10 when they went on to lift the trophy and complete a legendary treble under José Mourinho.

Inter have already secured a top-four finish in Serie A this season and won the Supercoppa and Coppa Italia.
