The Juventus B-Team will be in Lega Pro Girona A along with the likes of Piacenza, Pisa, Pro Vercelli and Siena.

Italy’s third division couldn’t even draw up a fixture list until it had confirmation of who would be in the competition.

Only this evening did the CONI rule an appeal from clubs to have Serie B expanded from 19 teams back to 22 was inadmissible.

Siena, Novara, Catania, Ternana and Pro Vercelli have pledged to keep fighting with another appeal to the FIGC.

Meanwhile, the Lega Pro has decided it is time to get the campaign started and will draw up the fixture list on Wednesday morning.

This is the first tournament since the introduction of B-Teams and so far Juventus are the only club to have taken up the opportunity with their Under-23 squad.

The Bianconeri will be in Girone A with former Serie A clubs like Novara, Piacenza, Pisa and Siena.

There are three mini-leagues in Lega Pro/Serie C for the north, centre and south of Italy.
