Juventus coach Andrea Pirlo reportedly called Edin Dzeko to convince the Roma striker, proposing an interesting take on the 3-4-3 system.
Multiple sources claim the deal is done between the clubs for €10m plus €2m in bonuses, but the Bosnia international is undecided.
According to several newspapers, including the Corriere dello Sport, Tuttosport and La Stampa, Pirlo personally called Dzeko to discuss the role he’d have at Juventus.
There are a few different tactical options mentioned in the media for the centre-forward.
La Stampa point towards a 3-4-3 formation, with Dzeko flanked by Cristiano Ronaldo and Paulo Dybala.
The Corriere dello Sport claims this isn’t quite as clear-cut as it seems, because Dzeko would have more freedom to drop deep and act as almost a trequartista, encouraging his two teammates to cut inside and take the central role.
That would make it a 3-4-1-2 with Dzeko behind Dybala and Ronaldo, while Dejan Kulusevki and Alex Sandro are wide midfielders.
Another alternative would have Kulusevski in the hole behind Dybala and Ronaldo, or Dzeko and one of those two.
Meanwhile, La Gazzetta dello Sport suggests a new ally in the Juventus transfer, namely Dzeko’s wife, who had until now been determined to remain in Rome.
Amra is expecting the couple’s fourth child, but is seemingly not averse to a Turin move.
Juventus (3-4-3): Szczesny; De Ligt, Bonucci, Chiellini; Kulusevski, Bentancur, Arthur, Alex Sandro; Dybala, Dzeko, Ronaldo

3-4-3 Is a good formation, but I don't think that Juventus should sign Dzeko. I know he is a good striker but he is not young anymore and we should be looking for a younger striker instead of him.

Why do people always associate dribbling with “natural talent” and athleticism with “hard work”.... just because dribbling is more of a mental thing and hardwork is more of a hardwork thing doesn’t mean anything. There is no such thing as “natural talent” it’s annoying. Messi and Cr7 are the hardest workers because 99.99 percent of talent comes from that
