Juventus vs Chelsea: Predicted line-ups, kick-off time

Both Juventus and Chelsea opened their Champions League campaigns with victories over Malmo and Zenit respectively, and now the two teams will face each other at the Juventus Stadium on Wednesday evening.

Chelsea won the Champions League last term with some quite incredible coaching from Thomas Tuchel, although a dismal display in a 1-0 defeat to Manchester City on Saturday has rocked confidence at Stamford Bridge.

Romelu Lukaku will make his return to Italy for the first time since leaving Inter, and Juventus' defence will know more than most what they will be in for going up against the Belgian.

Juventus have had European struggles of their own in recent seasons with the Cristiano Ronaldo era having failed to deliver a single semi-final appearance.

The Italian side will pack their midfield for the visit of the Blues, which could make it difficult for Timo Werner to have any success with runs in behind. Although, injury problems are going to make Massimiliano Allegri's team selection difficult with Arthur Melo, Alvaro Morata, Paulo Dybala and Adrien Rabiot all out. Chelsea, meanwhile, will be without N'Golo Kante, who has tested positive for COVID-19.

Chelsea and Juventus haven't met since 2012 when the Blues suffered a 3-0 defeat which saw them eliminated at the group stage despite being holders, and Tuchel will be looking for results to avoid a similar outcome this time around.
