Kai Havertz theory confirmed in Arsenal draw against Nurnberg

The intrigue around Kai Havertz is certainly significant from an Arsenal perspective. Signed from Chelsea after what most would describe as a three-year disappointment after the hype that built around the attacker whilst in Germany has still garnered a £65million fee from the Gunners.

What was interesting about the line-up despite Havertz not starting was how the midfield was structured. After the sale of Granit Xhaka, seeing who would occupy the position opposite Martin Odegaard was always going to be key.

With Leandro Trossard starting there, it looked clear the route that Mikel Arteta was considering for the position. However, Trossard remained on the field once Havertz arrived.

Mbappe claim

Ex-Tottenham Hotspur defender Alan Hutton has claimed that Arsenal has very little chance of signing PSG forward Kylian Mbappe this summer, with a move to Real Madrid said to be the far more likely option.

"Mbappe is tailor made for Real Madrid," Hutton told Football Insider. "I just believe that if he was ever to leave PSG, then he will end up at Real Madrid.

"It’s nothing against Arsenal whatsoever, but I can tell you this 100%: it is well known that Madrid is the club he wants to be at. We will wait and see, but I can’t see it being Arsenal, and that is not a downside for them, Mbappe is still 24, so if there is anyone you can imagine in a Real Madrid strip, it would be him."

Potential Tierney to Celtic reunion

Celtic are interested in re-signing Arsenal defender Kieran Tierney during the summer transfer window, according to recent reports.

Tierney struggled for game time last season, with Oleksandr Zinchenko usurping him as Mikel Arteta's first-choice left-back. Now, the Mirror have reported that Celtic are keen on bringing the Scottish international back to Glasgow this summer.

It is claimed that Hoops boss Brendan Rodgers is keen to be reunited with the player who was an integral member of his treble-winning squad during the north Irishman's first spell in Scotland. Rodgers is said to have been promised significant backing in the transfer market by the board, with the player open to taking a significant cut in his salary to rejoin the reigning champions.
