Arsenal news: Kevin De Bruyne has always seemed to enjoy his visits to the Emirates Stadium in the past with Manchester City
Manchester City star Kevin De Bruyne has taken a sly dig at Arsenal's Emirates Stadium atmosphere in comparison to other grounds in the Premier League.
Now, De Bruyne has commented on the Gunners' atmosphere on matchdays in a recent interview with Sky Sports. Asked which stadium had the better atmosphere out of Newcastle United's St James's Park, Liverpool's Anfield and the Emirates Stadium, the former Chelsea man ranked Arsenal last.
St James's Park was ranked at the top with Anfield a close second. Speaking to presenter Joe Thomlinson, he said: "Even when it was not going well (at Newcastle), the atmosphere was still quite good.
"For Liverpool, obviously it's always a big game, but I feel like there's a difference when it's Champions League or a night game than when it's a 12pm kick-off. I feel like these two are a bigger atmosphere than Arsenal.
"Last year (at Arsenal) was much, much better. But it's been tough for them in the years before so it was less."
