Chelsea transfer news: Chelsea are battling Liverpool for Moises Caicedo and Romeo Lavia this summer, with head coach Jurgen Klopp taking a clear aim at the Blues.

However, the backdrop to the whole encounter was the business in the transfer market that has seen the Reds and Blues clash. Caicedo has been the main topic of contention as the west Londoners have followed the Ecuadorian over a switch for the whole summer.

They had been unable to seal a deal, so Liverpool saw their opportunity to lodge a £110million bid that was accepted by Brighton. Despite that, the youngster is yet to secure personal terms as football.london understands that Chelsea have had a bid accepted worth a total of £115million, with an eight-year deal agreed and a medical booked.

That's not all though, as football.london also understands that a bid for Romeo Lavia has been submitted to Southampton, totalling £55million. That comes as Liverpool have attempted to sign the Belgian international throughout the transfer window, throwing things into chaos.

When asked about transfers after the draw, Klopp took the chance to take aim at Chelsea, telling reporters: "Where’s the camera? No [I cannot say anything]. Oh, that [new signings] is what the Chelsea manager wants, and usually they get it! I’ve got nothing to say about it to be honest. I’m sorry.”

It remains to be seen which team will come out over the other in the transfer window, but the saga continues to rumble on in the background ahead of another big week.
