Jurgen Klopp has declared that he is 'super proud' of his Liverpool players following their 2-0 FA Cup third round win away to Arsenal.
Liverpool had to endure a lot of pressure from Arsenal in the first half but were vastly improved after the break and ended up prevailing courtesy of an own goal from Jakub Kiwior and a late strike from Luis Diaz.
Although Liverpool were without stars including Mohamed Salah and Virgil van Dijk they still managed to make it through to the fourth round of the FA Cup and keep their dreams of winning the quadruple alive.
Klopp was pleased with the response that Liverpool showed in the second half and alluded to the changes that he made at the break, which included moving Darwin Nunez out wide.
Klopp said: 'I'm super proud. It's a super difficult draw. Maybe the most difficult we could have got. With all the things we had to consider coming here, Arsenal lined up slightly different, that was smart. We changed a bit at half-time. We were really in the game in the second half. We scored the goals and brought the kids on. We fought for 95 minutes. We have a winter break now.'
Liverpool are also still involved in the Carabao Cup and host Fulham on Wednesday in the first leg of their semi-final.
Klopp admitted that it was difficult to enjoy Liverpool's first half performance before they improved in the second period.
Klopp said: 'For tonight, great. Wednesday is the next game and then a few days off. We have to make steps if you want to be where we are and around that area then we have to make steps all of the time. It wasn't an easy game to enjoy in the first half.'
Liverpool are currently top of the Premier League and are also through to the round of 16 in the Europa League as Klopp's team chase silverware.
The Reds were without Salah against Arsenal due to the winger being away with Egypt ahead of the Africa Cup of Nations.
Klopp will hope that Liverpool will have enough resources to cope in Salah's absence and will have taken heart from the spirit that his team showed in the second half against Arsenal.
Liverpool also had Virgil van Dijk unavailable against Arsenal because of illness, while Dominik Szoboszlai and Andrew Robertson were amongst those missing through injury.

Liverpool can't win the league, let's not deceive ourselves. Diaz, Nunez, Gakpo, all three combined can't do the work of Mane. Man City will win the league again unfortunately.
Why can’t you leave premier league and concentrate on Camel league only ….Football is what makes one swallow his own words …Leicester city won premier league with unknown players and your painful brain is telling you that you are deceiving yourself….if Liverpool win the league..let’s wait and see …save this and reply me by the end of the season
