Jurgen Klopp has moved to ease fears over his side's training preparations ahead of Arsenal after New Zealand's rugby league side trained at Melwood.
New Zealand face England on Sunday at Anfield as part of their three-part Baskerville Shield series, with the Kiwis taking part in a training session at Liverpool's training ground on Tuesday.
Fears had been raised over what impact extra games could have on the usually pristine playing surface, especially in the aftermath of Monday's Wembley debacle.
Manchester City beat Tottenham 1-0 to move back to the top of the Premier League, but the visibly worn pitch was heavily criticised after holding three NFL games in as many weeks - including one the day before Spurs' clash with City.
But Klopp has insisted the Melwood pitch will be ready to host his players in the build-up to Saturday's crucial clash at the Emirates.
"They had a good session I hope," Klopp said. "I spoke already with our groundsman and it's all good with the pitch - I hope. Especially when you saw the game (on Tuesday), when Tottenham played City at Wembley and the day before that, the NFL game. That was crazy.
"But it's all good, they are all fine."
After England and New Zealand do battle at Anfield on Sunday, the Reds' next home engagement will be seven days later against Fulham.

Just look the replay and then you will see the ball bounce when it come to Lamela
Yes I saw it while I was watching the game, but it doesn’t matter he could have still put it away from 8 yards

Don’t make excuses for him, he has the same opportunity that mahrez had but mahrez was composed. Lamela was 8 yards out with a full net, he rushed his shot, he probably could have even taken another touch before he shot

Why Rugby game played in a football pitch, they must play in their own pitch, they really destroyed the pitch.Look Tottenham vs Man City Lamela chance to score a goal and he could not score because they destroyed Wembley pitch.
