Kyle Walker trolls Man United after 3-1 derby win in deleted tweet

Kyle Walker posted a poem on Twitter mocking Manchester United after the Blues' 3-1 Derby Day win - before quickly deleting the post.

City extended the gap between themselves and United to 12 points - after just 12 Premier League games - after goals from David Silva, Sergio Aguero and substitute Ilkay Gundogan banished the memory of United's comeback win in April.

The win ensured that the Blues maintain their two-point cushion at the top of the Premier League table ahead of Liverpool.

And a host of City stars took to social media to express their delight at the Blues' statement win, but Walker's couplet was soon removed.

The 28-year-old tweeted:

'Our opponent was red,

We heard the away fans boo,

We're twelve points ahead,

And just like violets, Manchester is blue.'

Despite the victory, Blues boss Pep Guardiola insisted there was still room for improvement as City look to retain the Premier League title for the first time in their history.

"First half not so good," the 47-year-old said. "We played like 'I don't want to lose the ball but not the intention to attack or to do something'.

"I feel when I watch my players, a team that feel a little bit the pressure. They want to do well in the derby. That's normal.

"Despite of that, we were stable, we score one goal, the first 15 minutes was so good and after that we didn't press so well.

"They could play more than usual but the second half we start from the beginning much, much better."
