Kylian Mbappe sends clear Arsenal and Chelsea transfer message as new £100m bid prepared

Arsenal and Chelsea have been linked with a move for Kylian Mbappe, but the saga between the forward, PSG and Real Madrid is seemingly heating up.

Kylian Mbappe has seemingly hinted at where his future lies after months of twists, turns and uncertainty surrounding his stay at PSG over the course of the summer.

The French forward has just under 12-months remaining on his contract after refusing to extend his deal by an extra year as part of an option he could take up. That led to a stand off between him and the club hierarchy, who claimed that there must be an extension or he will be forced to leave as to avoid losing him on a free.

Things then seemingly changed as discussions led to a breakthrough that has since seen Mbappe return into the first-team fold after the first game of the season. Reports have even suggested that a new contract could be on the way to put any rumours on his future aside, at least for the time being.

The French international made his return to match action on Saturday against Toulouse, in which he scored a penalty to take the lead in the game. After celebrating, he was heard clearly saying, "Je reste la" which roughly translates to "I am staying here," potentially hinting at his decision.

It could be seen as a huge blow to Chelsea, who have been looking to add some superstar power to their ranks under the new ownership. As for Arsenal, they could've taken themselves to the next level with a player of current world class ability to continue their ascent to the top.

This saga won't stop Real Madrid though, as BILD reports that Los Blancos are preparing a late bid in the transfer window to land their top target. The offer is claimed to be in the £100million range, with the hopes that a late move will stop any lengthy games played with PSG over an agreement.

It remains to be seen whether that will put an end to things, but there still seems to be some twists and turns to come in the near future.
