Real Madrid midfielder Toni Kroos has once again displayed that he is one of the best in the world as finished 2018 as the best passer in LaLiga Santander, with a 94.2 percent accuracy rate with a minimum of 15 games played.
In the calendar year of 2018, the German played in 26 league matches and attempted 2,125 passes, completing 2,003; he only misplaced 122 passes in all that time, a surprising statistic given Kroos' range of passing - short or long, to feet or in behind.
Those behind him in the rankings are noticeable, with his Madrid teammates Mateo Kovacic and Dani Ceballos occupying second and third respectively.
The Croatian joined Chelsea on loan in the summer, but he played 17 matches in Spain's top flight in 2018 - of his 714 passes to teammates, 669 were good, a percentage of 93.7.
Closing the podium is Ceballos with 93.1 percent after he completed 688 of 739 passes in 19 matches.
Amongst the others, Real Betis midfielder Javi Garcia is in fourth, having played 24 games in 2018 and finishing with a percentage of 92.8 percent after attempting 1,111 passes, making 1,031.
Fran Beltran, who joined Celta Vigo this summer from Rayo Vallecano, has played in 16 of his side's 17 league matches this season and a pass accuracy of 92.65 percent.
The first defender on the list is Betis' Aissa Mandi and his numbers are particularly striking as he has played in 36 games, more than those above him; he has a percentage of 92.57 percent after completing 2,343 of 2,531 passes.
Completing the top 10 are Samuel Umtiti, Sergio Ramos, Ivan Rakitic and Raphael Varane.
So far this season, Kroos has played in 12 LaLiga Santander matches and he has shown that there is no rival to him when it comes to passing; his passes are synonymous with reliability and success, a factor in the recent triumphs of Los Blancos.

as a barca fan i watch real games a lot and i know how kroos plays. he's the type of midfielder that controls the tempo and flow of the game not thru penetrating passes. xavi and iniesta control the game to but do more than kroos with penetrating passes thru defenses to create chances. u should know this if ur a true soccer fan and follower of these midfielders.
