Lampard tells Klopp to "fuck off" in heated clash during Liverpool-Chelsea

Footage has emerged of Chelsea boss Frank Lampard launching a verbal tirade at the Liverpool bench before calling the Reds "arrogant" in a post-match interview.

With no fans in stadiums to drown out the voices of players and coaches, TV cameras are capturing far more expletive-laden rants from the pitch and the sidelines than ever before.

And the latest to come to light has been Chelsea coach Frank Lampard’s outburst directed at the Liverpool bench during the Reds-Blues clash at Anfield, which ended 5-3 to the hosts.

The incident was sparked when referee, Andre Marriner, pulled Chelsea midfielder Mateo Kovacic for a foul on Sadio Mané, which led to Trent Alexander-Arnold nailing a free kick from distance to give Liverpool a 2-0 lead.

Lampard tells Klopp: "Fuck off"

In the lead up to Alexander-Arnold’s free-kick, an infuriated Lampard was captured launching into a verbal tirade which began with the Chelsea couch shouting: "How is that a foul? There's no foul there."

After Reds coach Jurgen Klopp repeatedly tells him to “calm down”, Lampard responds by telling his opposite number to “Fuck off”.

“If he's going off at me I'll fucking say something,” he adds.

Klopp's assistant, Pep Lijnders, then appears to address Lampard, prompting the Chelsea coach to shout: "You can fuck off and all.”

During the incident, Lampard also appears to say: "Have your party later on, fucking giving it the biggun, fuck off” – in relation to Liverpool’s planned title celebrations after the game.

Lampard calls Liverpool “arrogant"

After the game, Lampard brandished Liverpool as “arrogant” in his post-match interview with Sky Sports, but insisted he had no issue with Klopp.

"For me, it wasn’t a foul from Kovacic, and there were a lot of things that weren’t going our way,” Lampard told Sky Sports. “But I’ve not got a problem with Jurgen Klopp. The way he’s managed this team has been fantastic.

"Fair play to Liverpool Football Club, they’ve won the league, but also don’t get too arrogant with it. That was my point, but it’s done. In match play, you can get emotional and that was it.”

After the game, Lampard also shook Klopp’s hand and congratulated Reds forward Sadio Mané on the title victory, as seen in a video shared on the Senegalese player’s Instagram.
