Leeds United have been slammed by fan groups after hiking up the price of season tickets by 10 per cent.
The club announced yesterday they were issuing the increase for all season-ticket holders for the 2023-24 campaign - although supporters can claim the rise back if the Whites are relegated.
Leeds said the decision was not 'taken lightly' but was necessary to help cover the extra cost of matchday operations.
However, the Leeds United Supporters Trust responded: 'This increase is unwelcome at a time when many fans will be experiencing increased financial pressures in other areas of their lives, and unjustified given the club's increasing revenue streams, coupled with poor results on the pitch.'
The Leeds United Supporters Club added: 'Given the current cost of living crisis and after last year's season ticket rises, it feels like another bitter pill for the fans to swallow.'

I thi k the club has got a nerve announcing this at this time when club is struggling what the board need to realise is that the fans are the backbone of this club and its 12th man it should be imperative that the board keep the fans sweet especially after the fiasco of recent weeks with Orta mocking the very fans that help to finance the club Remember ER is filled every home game and if prices are hiked up then gaps may appear and following could wane Bear that in mind Radz
