Leicester City are not in for Benfica full-back Andre Almeida despite reports emanating out of Portugal on Wednesday.
The former Premier League champions are reputedly chasing Almeida to replace Ricardo Pereira who is a target for Paris St Germain.
However, Leicester do not wish to sell Ricardo and are in talks with Luton Town over a deal for James Justin.
Portuguese outlet Record claimed that Leicester and Newcastle were keeping tabs on the 28-year-old, but this is not believed to be the case.
Almeida has been at Benfica since 2011 and helped them reclaim the Portuguese league title this season.
He has made 239 appearances in eight years and has earned eight caps for Portugal.
