Leicester hold talks with Monaco's Ghezzal as they look to fend off interest from Watford

Leicester City are holding talks over a deal for Monaco winger Rachid Ghezzal ahead of competition from Watford.

Monaco granted the 26-year-old permission to travel to England for talks and a medical on Friday prior to meeting up with Claude Puel who was his manager at Lyon.

Leicester are ready to listen to offers for full back Danny Simpson who is not in Puel's plans.

Furthermore, striker Ahmed Musa has moved to Saudi Arabian club Al-Nassr.

Musa, 25, was the Foxes' record signing when he moved to the King Power for £16.6million in 2016, but failed to hold down a place and was loaned back to his old club CSKA Moscow for part of last season.

Meanwhile, Puel is  hoping to have his Leicester squad in the best possible shape ahead of the start of the Premier League season.

The Foxes begin their Premier League campaign against Manchester United at Old Trafford next Friday evening.
