RB Leipzig have told Arsenal that they have no intention of cashing in on Dayot Upamecano in the coming days.

And the Gunners have been pointed towards the player’s £92million release clause if they are desperate to sign him before Thursday’s transfer deadline.

The France Under-21 international, 20, is being targeted by Arsenal, as they seek to add defensive reinforcements.

Reports in Germany claim a permanent offer for Upamecano, worth £55million has already been knocked back.

Upamecano is rated highly across Europe and has shone with RBL since joining from sister side Red Bull Salzburg in 2017. Barcelona were keen watchers last term.
