Leroy Sane has hailed the influence of Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola on his career, saying he 'downright reprogrammed me'.
The 24-year-old winger departed the Etihad this summer after four successful years under Guardiola at the Premier League outfit.
Sane joined Bundesliga giants Bayern Munich in a £55million move in July but has now opened up on the importance of working with Guardiola and how he has improved his game.
'In positional play, in the general perception of the entire game, in tactical behaviour both offensively and defensively - Guardiola downright reprogrammed me,' he told Kicker.
'It's the simple movements that make you think, "Oh, never". But when you implement them, you realise very quickly that Guardiola is right.
'What he advises helps a lot, it makes the game easier and faster. Tactics are the most important thing to him.'
