Robert Lewandowski was crowned 'The Best' on Thursday night, and one of the reasons behind the Bayern Munich striker's incredible performances and consistency could be his diet.
This is the view of one of his former teammates with the Polish national team, Thiago Cionek.
"He is a guy who is hungry to improve as a player, and for that reason, he has a special diet that his wife gives him," Cionek told ESPN.
"She is a nutritionist and is well known in Poland. Robert even told me that the big change in his career, when he reached the elite clubs and in the national team, was when he radically changed what he ate.
"On game day, he eats a lot of protein. And there is always tuna for breakfast. He also avoids anything with gluten and lactose. The day before playing, after dinner, he still finishes off with a bowl of rice pudding to fill the body with carbohydrates and glucose to play the next day. Then, in recovery, there are lots of vegetables and avocado."
Lewandowski's season in 2019/20 was spectacular. He won five trophies (Bundesliga, DFB-Pokal, DFL-Supercup, Champions League and European Super Cup), scored 55 goals and provided 10 assists in 47 matches, while he was also the top scorer in the Bundesliga and Champions League.

A footballer's life is not easy. They must avoid junk food, eat properly, have little or no sex and have some good rest

I being an Indian have to daily eat Bhaji Bhakri and Kalvan Which is not at all that nutritious as the Western food and top of that it is tasteless as hell I wish I was an European or American
I mean alot of our food here is processed, so its like you eat it at a price. I can probably understand what you mean when tasting sort of bland food so have you tried adding maybe lemon, pepper, or salt?

After reading this article; the price of rice and avocado will be raised highly as Lewyβs price tag is.
He would be eating the best quality of Rice and all that nutritious food that would be produced naturally without any pesticides and chemicals.
