A number of clubs in the top flight are preparing moves for the highly rated defender.

Leicester and Norwich are among the sides interested in landing Happe this summer.

Orient want to keep Happe, but the growing interest in the 20-year-old is posing the London club a problem going into the new season. Leeds also retain a long-term interest.

The League Two side would consider selling Happe this summer - but want a deal which would see the defender loaned back immediately for the 2019-20 season.

His existing deal expires at the end of next season, meaning Orient are likely to listen to offers for Happe as they look to avoid losing him on a free transfer.

The left-footed dominant central defender, who stands at 6ft 5ins, was a key player for Orient's successful promotion winning side last season - and has been compared to England international Harry Maguire.

Coming through the ranks at Orient, there is a growing feeling it is now inevitable their youth product moves on to a bigger club.
