Jamie Carragher has never been afraid to voice his opinion, whether about his former club Liverpool or their rivals Manchester United.
And he is rarely shy of criticising players, too.
Here are four United players who've been the target of Carragher's scorn this season.
Jesse Lingard
Earlier in the year, Lingard agreed to join up with super-agent Mino Raiola, the controversial figure at the centre of several high-profile disputes in recent years.
The Italian-born Dutchman is also Paul Pogba's agent, but Carragher clearly did not agree with Lingard's choice.
“Raiola is not likeable, but he is successful. The flip side of that is he provokes negative headlines,” Carragher wrote in his column for the Telegraph.
“Those who choose to work with him – Jesse Lingard the most recent to join his circle – evidently believe that is a price worth paying.
“I have to admit I struggle with that. I find it staggering a player would sign up with an agent so openly critical of his club's manager.”
Anthony Martial
Martial may have scored 16 goals in all competitions this season, but he did not evade criticism during United's 2-0 defeat against Liverpool in January.
Having been played through one-on-one with Alisson Becker, the Frenchman lifted his finish over the bar with time and space to pick his spot.
Carragher's assessment was blunt. “That's not just a good chance,” he said. “That's a sitter.”
Former United midfielder Roy Keane, meanwhile, was far more scathing in his criticism.
“The big strikers who are remembered by the supporters hit the target and the back of the net, and that's why that guy [Martial] is not quite good enough for United,” he said. “That moment summed him up.”
David de Gea
It is hard to place too much blame on the shoulders of David de Gea on the rare occasion that he does make a mistake.
United's goalkeeper has been an exceptionally consistent performer since his arrival in 2011.
But Carragher couldn't resist a little dig at the Spaniard after his error gave Everton the lead during a 1-1 draw at Goodison Park in March.
De Gea's attempted clearance struck Dominic Calvert-Lewin and rolled into an empty net just three minutes into the first half.
“David de Gea had a nightmare in this game last season and he's started in a nightmare way in this one,” Carragher said in his commentary for Sky Sports.
“He's looking for a pass, he waits far too long. You see him there, looking for that pass.
“Another goal for that man, Calvert-Lewin. What a run he's on. There's only one man he has to thank and that's David de Gea."
Alexis Sanchez
Sanchez, given he is on loan at Inter in Serie A, might have thought he would be free of criticism from the Premier League, at least for a little while.
But he was the unfortunate butt of a joke as Carragher and Gary Neville engaged in a discussion over VAR on Instagram.
“I defended #VAR at the start as I felt the process needed to be given a chance,” Carragher wrote.
“I argued with people who were set against it & I really wanted it to take the game forward.
“But we're now talking about it more than we ever did about officials & decisions & that can't be right.”
Neville responded with: “It's not the first time you've been wrong. We will forgive and continue to live with your errors.”
To which Carragher joked: “Nearly as bad as you telling me Sanchez was a good deal for United!!”

yeah, when liverpool hadn't won pl for more than 20 years no one from manu ever criticized them.just because they are winning titles for once they think it is right to criticize us.never . they may say we have only won 3 champions league and they have won more than us.but dont forget we had one of the greatest english side's in 1960s before munich tragedy and we still won the champions league with broken team. and also their 1980s success which they are happy about came during our rebuilding period where we were not ready.also during 1980s and early 2000's remember there was no social media bloom during which both carraggers and souness played.so not many criticized them.else caragher would also be meme like Phil Jones as he scored many own goals

It's his job as a Sky Sports pundit. He's paid to talk about PL players 😏 And he was a great defender so yeah he has a right to talk. Take it with a pinch of salt. He's a Liverpool man, what do you expect?

Jamie talks as if he has never played football before that he doesn't know how bad you can play at times. I wonder why he can't understand situations

I'll give it to you that they got through in the EFL Cup but nothing denies the fact that Manchester was Red for the 3 times we outclassed Pep Baldiola and is and will always be Red 🇾🇪🇾🇪

No one is perfect, Jamie Carragher should still understand that there was a time that those players has always been good to Manchester United. Let support them, instead of criticizing them.
