Lion City Sailors 1-5 Tottenham: Richarlison hits hat-trick as Kane nets

Harry Kane scored from the penalty spot before Richarlison netted a second-half hat-trick as Tottenham hammered Lion City Sailors 5-1 in Singapore.

The Premier League outfit went a goal down in the 14th minute before roaring back with goals from Harry Kane, Giovani Lo Celso and the Brazilian.

The win gave new boss Ange Postecoglou his first victory in the Tottenham dug out following defeat in their opening pre-season fixture against West Ham.

And the cancellation of their Thailand based fixture against Championship side Leicester on Sunday as a result of adverse weather conditions.

Spurs, who fielded two entirely different XI's in the game, next take on Shakhtar Donetsk on August 5 at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

Tottenham were able to welcome back Son Heung-min to the match day squad following his absence against West Ham but Tanguy Ndombele was still missing for the London club.

The tie gave fans their first chance to see James Maddison play alongside last season's front three and the ex-Leicester man was the most lively Spurs player in the first half.

But it was the hosts, through Shawal Anuar, who took the lead in the 14th minute completely against the run of play.

By that point the visitors had already fired countless shots on the Lion City goal and with the last kick of the first period Kane was able to draw Spurs level from the spot.

The Tottenham onslaught continued after the break as Richarlison grabbed two goals in quick succession following mistakes from the home team.

Before Lo Celso, returning from a loan spell with Villarreal, tucked home the fourth. That only left Richarlison to complete proceedings with his hat-trick in stoppage time.
