Lionel Messi and first day as a PSG player

After a whirlwind week in which Lionel Messi saw almost a two-decade long career as a professional footballer with Barcelona come to an end, the Argentine has finally lived his first day as a Paris Saint-Germain player.

The past days included a medical examination, an introductory press conference, interviews and the all-important contract signing.

However, Thursday finally saw Messi train with his teammates, and he greeted them before the session, with his meeting with Kylian Mbappe having been hotly anticipated by the media.

An embrace with the French prodigy followed, although his greatest camaraderie appeared to come with former teammates, Rafinha and Neymar, and a long-time rival in Sergio Ramos.
