ELLA TOONE scored and set up two as England comfortably booked their place in the Euro quarter-finals.
The Lionesses now face Sweden on Thursday night in Zurich after securing second spot in Group D with France topping it after seeing off Holland.
Sarina Wiegman’s team overpowered Wales when Toone and Lauren James in particular pulling the strings.
Georgia Stanway’s 13th-minute penalty got the ball rolling before Toone added a second eight minutes later.
Laura Hemp’s 30th-minute strike and Alessia Russo’s tap-in just before the break made it a stroll in the park.
Beth Mead got off the mark for the tournament by adding a 72nd-minute fifth.
Hannah Cain fired a consolation for the Welsh with 14 minutes left.
But supersub Aggie Beever-Jones made it six with a fine downward header on 89 minutes.
The Lionesses last played the Swedes last year in the qualifying round where the sides fought out a goalless stalemate in Gothenburg.
But they did thump their Scandinavian opponents 4-0 in the semis four years ago en route to winning the title on home soil.
Wiegman had warned before kick-off that the Lionesses must not get sucked into a “fighting game” against the Welsh in St Gallen last night.
But she need not have worried.
Both sets of fans impeccably observed each other’s national anthems.
Wiegman named an unchanged starting XI following the impressive 4-0 win over Holland on Wednesday,
Wales boss Rhian Wilkinson recalled keeper Olivia Clark at the expense of Safia Middleton-Patel while defender Rhiannon Roberts came in for Josephine Green and Carrie Jones replaced Kayleigh Barton.
England got off to a flier when they were awarded a penalty following a ridiculously-long VAR check.
Stanway was sent sprawling by a clumsy challenge from Carrie Jones.
It was cast iron but took the video assistants more than two minutes to decide before referee Frida Klarlund pointed to the spot.
Stanway calmly fired her shot into the bottom left corner.
And the Lionesses’ passage was looking a certainty after cashing in on shocking defending.
Hemp flicked on and Rhiannon Roberts; clearance took a ricochet.
Clark was slow off her line and Russo pulled the ball back for Toone to fire home at the second attempt after her initial effort was blocked on the line.
Angharad James-Turner saw a shot kept out by Hannah Hempton as Wales made a rare foray forward.
But England were 3-0 up when James’ quickly-taken free-kick caught Wales out with Toone’s cross met by a thumping header by Hemp at the far post, which Clark could only palm into her own net.
And the Lionesses grabbed a fourth just before half-time.
Toone exchanged passes with James before teeing up Russo to tap home.
Keeper Hannah Hampton almost gifted the Welsh one back when she passed straight to Jess Fishlock but the resulting shot was wide.
Half-time sub Jess Park was denied a stunning fifth by an outstanding stop from Clark - who managed to keep out her vicious volley on the stretch.
England were in cruise control and seemed content with their night’s work - but they added a fifth when Beever-Jones turned on a six-pence to play Mead in, who fired home.
Before Beever-Jones added a sixth with two minutes left with a powerful downward header from a lobbed cross from Mead.
For Wales it has been a huge learning curve in their first major international tournament.
The Dragons finished rock bottom of the group, having lost all three games.
But they scored a superb consolation when Jess Fishlock played in Cain to fire a rocket past Hampton.
