The trio of Premier League teams who have already secured their place in the Last 16 of the Champions League are a step closer to discovering their next opponents.
Arsenal, Aston Villa and Liverpool all finished in the top eight of this year's new look competition to avoid the play-off round, which included the likes of Bayern Munich, Celtic and Manchester City.
All three teams were given four potential opponents at the end of the group phase. And with the first round of play-off fixtures now done and dusted, that figure has now dropped to three.
Here, Mirror Football rounds up the state of play ahead of Wednesday night's matches, which will see the picture become even clearer...
AC Milan were the first team of the night to fall: they were beaten 2-1 on aggregate by Feyenoord, who have set up a potential meeting with Arsenal or Inter in the next round.
Club Brugge could face Aston Villa after eliminating Atalanta courtesy of a superb 3-1 win away from home, while Benfica's reward for edging out AS Monaco in a thriller is a game against either Liverpool or Barcelona.
Celtic came agonisingly close to taking Bayern Munich to extra-time in their bid to progress. But Alphonso Davies scored in the 94th minute to break Celtic's hearts.
The field will shorten even further on Wednesday night when another eight teams do battle for a place in the next round, including Manchester City.
Pep Guardiola's side travel to the Bernabeu needing to overturn a 3-2 deficit from their first leg loss at home to Real Madrid. Borussia Dortmund, Juventus and Paris Saint-Germain will also be in action.
Permutations for top eight
LIVERPOOL AND BARCELONA: Will play one of Brest, PSG or Benfica.
ARSENAL AND INTER: Will play one of PSV, Feyenoord or Juventus.
ATLETICO MADRID AND BAYER LEVERKUSEN: Will play one of Real Madrid, Bayern Munich or Manchester City.
LILLE AND ASTON VILLA: Will play one of Borussia Dortmund, Sporting Lisbon or Club Brugge.
