Liverpool cancel Evian training camp and switch pre-season base to Austria

Liverpool have been forced to abandon their plans to hold a pre-season training camp in Evian, after the Government confirmed France is to be added to the covid-19 quarantine list.

Jurgen Klopp's senior team are expected to report back to their Melwood base on Saturday, following the shortest off-season in Premier League history due to the pandemic postponements.

Liverpool are set to face Arsenal in the Community Shield on August 29, and were penciled down to fly to France next week in order to get back up to scratch and fine-tune their tactics.

This plan has now been scrapped, and the club have already started to outline another option.
