Liverpool will honour Mohamed Salah and Andy Robertson with special Anfield mosaics for their final game against Brentford, following Salah's public criticism of the club's season

Liverpool have confirmed that mosaics will be on display at Anfield ahead of Mohamed Salah and Andy Robertson's farewell appearances for the club. The Reds welcome Brentford for their final fixture of the campaign, with a place in the Champions League potentially still up for grabs.

Should Bournemouth take any points off Manchester City on Tuesday, they could yet pip Liverpool to a top-five Premier League finish. The match will serve as the last outing in a Liverpool shirt for both Salah and Robertson, with the pair set to depart this summer after nine years at the club - a period in which they have firmly cemented their places in Anfield folklore.

Salah's exit was confirmed earlier this year, with the Egyptian agreeing to have the final year of his contract waived, while Robertson will move on when his deal runs out. As a fitting send-off, Liverpool have revealed that supporters will hold up mosaics in tribute to both players before kick-off on Sunday.

The Kop will pay homage to Salah, while the lower Sir Kenny Dalglish Stand will honour Robertson as they bid farewell to their beloved club. The news comes just days after Salah appeared to take another swipe at Reds manager Arne Slot, publicly venting his frustration following the defeat to Aston Villa.

"Us crumbling to yet another defeat this season was very painful and not what our fans deserve," Salah posted on social media. "I want to see Liverpool go back to being the heavy metal attacking team that opponents fear and back to being a team that wins trophies.

"That is the football I know how to play and that is the identity that needs to be recovered and kept for good. It cannot be negotiable and everyone that joins this club should adapt to it.

"Winning some games here and there is not what Liverpool should be about. All teams win games. Liverpool will always be a club that means a great deal to me and to my family. I want to see it succeed for long after I have moved on."

Salah's statement has prompted former Manchester United star Wayne Rooney to call on Slot to drop the winger for Sunday's fixture, though Liverpool's official statement appears to confirm he will feature in some capacity.

The Reds may well require a positive result against Brentford to secure their spot in next season's Champions League, depending on how Bournemouth's clash with City unfolds - with Salah leaving no doubt about his commitment to the task at hand.

"As I've always said, qualifying to next season's Champions League is the bare minimum and I will do everything I can to make that happen," he added in his statement.
