Liverpool remain keen to add Alexander Isak to their star-studded squad before the end of the transfer window and it appears that a complicated situation is now starting to resolve itself
Liverpool fans are convinced that Alexander Isak is finally set to sign for the Reds, with a complicated transfer chain now in motion. The Reds have remained determined to sign the Newcastle star ahead of next month’s deadline.
They have already had one bid turned down for the Swedish hitman, who is keen on the move and is convinced his Newcastle career is already over. A deal however does not look close given the impasse in negotiations between Newcastle and Liverpool.
But some fans are convinced that the door is finally open for Isak to move to Anfield, with cogs elsewhere starting to turn. According to reports, Brentford have struck a deal for Bournemouth forward Dango Ouattara.
That has led supporters to suggest that the Bees might now be open to Yoane Wissa moving to Newcastle, with Isak potentially then free to leave St James’ Park. Taking to Twitter, one fan said: “Ouattara in, Wissa out. Wissa in, Isak out. Nunez out, Isak in.”
Another added: “Let the game of Dominoes commence. Ouattara > Brentford. Wissa > Newcastle. Isak > Liverpool.”
A final Liverpool supporter wrote: “Bournemouth need a replacement before they will sell Ouattara to Brentford. Brentford won’t sell Wissa to Newcastle until they have a replacement. Newcastle won’t sell Isak until they have replacements,” alongside a gif of dominoes falling.
Meanwhile, a further fan suggested that Liverpool themselves could play a role in allowing academy graduate Ben Doak to move to Bournemouth as a replacement for the outgoing Ouattara. They said: “So Doak to Bournemouth is the first domino in the Ouattara to Brentford - Wissa to Newcastle - Isak to Liverpool chain reaction. Hahaha BOOM!”
Newcastle are set to be without Isak this weekend as they kick off their latest Premier League campaign. The Magpies take on Aston Villa in the Midlands on Saturday.

Giving an update on the situation, Eddie Howe said: "I don't think it's been healthy for us. I don't deny that's been a big challenge. Alex, for me, is one of the best strikers in the world - if not the best. To miss him from your squad leaves a huge gap."
He added: "When you have a player that good who is not part of your group, it's difficult for the players to fully understand it and to know what's going on and how to react.
"But, as time has gone on, there has been an acceptance this is the squad and we have got to make the best of the situation. That's always been my train of thought.
"Whatever situation you're in, you have got to find a way and you can only control what you can control. We have moved forward and I've got to say the atmosphere of the group has been very good in the last couple of weeks."

NEw Castle made themselves look foolish this far, characterized by poor vision and management as far as the Izak issue is concerned, pretending that the market does not have other good strikers, while RB Leipzig and other continue to sign good strikers, those may not be excellent but good players enough, not to leave themselves with an egg on the face should the inevitable happen
