With the January transfer market about to close, Liverpool have been linked with a last minute move or New York Red Bulls defender Aaron Long.
Jurgen Klopp's defence has been decimated by injury, with the German coach being forced to play midfielders Fabinho and Jordan Henderson as centre-backs.
Now, according to Football Insider, Long has been made available for a three month loan by New York Red Bulls, with no option to buy.
The MLS season doesn't begin until April 3, and the Reds are keen to add some depth to the backline.
Long had previously been a target for West Ham.
