It's been confirmed by multiple sources on Easter Monday that Liverpool legend Robbie Fowler has been appointed the new Brisbane Roar manager.
The official announcement will be made on Tuesday.
Robbie Fowler is 44-years-old, and this will be just his second gig in the dugout.
Previously Fowler managed Muangthong United in 2011-12.
Fowler was signed by the Thai side as a player, but he became a player-manager after Henrique Calisto was axed.
Fowler left the club after Muangthong announced the signing of former Watford and Fulham coach Slavisa Jokanovic.
Liverpool legend Robbie Fowler has A-League experience
Towards the twilight of his career, Fowler spent two years playing in the Australian top-flight.
The Liverpool legend enjoyed two seasons playing in the A-League with North Queensland Fury and Perth Glory.
He scored nine goals for each of those clubs.
It's assumed that Fowler's A-League experience helped the Brisbane Roar gamble on him.
Details about Fowler's contract, including it's length, are unclear at this stage.
It's been a miserable season for the Brisbane Roar.
They are ninth in the 10-team A-League, with just 18 points from 26 games.
The Roar have won just four matches all season, conceding a league high 66 goals.

The blew the perfect chance to appoint 'God', returning to the A-League, and starting the resurrection of the Roar, on Easter.

He should put his boots on and play for them, he’d be the best player on the fucking pitch.

Won't believe it until its true, however not sure how I feel about this. Would much rather the A-league clubs follow in Wellingtons footsteps and give an NPL manager a chance. Rudan has done wonders for Pheonix. I can imagine there might be one or two hidden gems in the NPL who could do wonders. Appointing Fowler just doesn't feel right.

Best wishes to Robbie Fowler in getting the Brissie job. He's going to need all the luck he can get taking that on. Massive task indeed.
