Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has claimed that "nobody can compete" with Manchester City ahead of their Premier League clash this weekend.
Pep Guardiola's side travel to Anfield on Sunday, as City look to maintain their fine start to the season. The Blues are the only team in the league yet to lose a game, sitting just one point behind leaders Arsenal.
Before City got their title defence underway, many predicted that Liverpool would once again challenge the Blues every step of the way. Klopp's side have instead suffered a disastrous start to the season, as they find themselves 13 points behind Guardiola's side and 11th in the table.
Liverpool's manager has now claimed that nobody can reach City's level due to their dominance in the transfer market, especially since the arrival of Erling Haaland.
Speaking in his pre-match press conference, Klopp said: "Nobody can compete with City. You have the best team in the world and you put in the best striker on the market. No matter what it costs, you just do it.
"City won't like it, nobody will like it, but you know the answer. What does Liverpool do? We cannot act like them. It's not possible, not possible. It's just clear: there are three clubs in world football who can do what they want financially. It's legal, everything is fine, but they can do whatever they want. Competing with them? It's not possible to deal with that.
"I heard the Newcastle [sporting director Dan Ashworth] say there's no ceiling for this club - he's absolutely right. There's no ceiling for Newcastle. Congratulations - some clubs have ceilings."

For the nonsense only who think about City's rich owner.... City's owner is a true football lover who passionately love City and he made a sound planning for making City one of the best time of the world... He appointed right person in the right place. Built a solid academy....and a solid base from where a football club can stand firmly and fight against all odds. Just look on following information.. Mancity Total sells in 2022: Torres....50m£ Sterling...47.5m£ Jesus....45m£ Zinchenko 32m£ Gavin....15m£ Lavia...13m Kobare..15m£ Edozie...10m£ Parro....8m£ Lorris..7m£ Gayvi...5m£ Muric...3.5m£ Ko Ikatura..5m£ Total sells= 256m£ Total Expenses: Halland.. 51m£ Philips...43m£ Alvarez...14m£ Gomez....11m£ Akonji...15m£ Ortega...Free Total=134m£ Net profit....121m£ Still there will some bit of amount be added from some high profile loan So, stop talk nonsense.... City stands on a very much solid foundation.... City will dominate in the near future and on, and on....

let me prove your wrong and even shame you!Pep started from Barca b because of his excellency laporta found him out and promoted him to first team coach where he excelled beyond expectations that he overturned Madrid dominance and whipped them as never done before even with their state backing and their wealth,he even earn right to resign, recharge his battery and siph through arrays of clubs quieng for his service, before he chose Bayern,so you don't want him to excel so that he goes to a lower club?how haters can contrive to smack a successful Coach!so if klopp becomes so successful at Liverpool, and bigger clubs like Madrid or psg come for him,he should reject them and chose west ham or Leicester city just to assuage haters feelings? I don't even want to go far cos am sure you're just a hater beating around the bush!
