Jurgen Klopp and his Liverpool players have been out and about on a walk around the city ahead of a pivotal Merseyside derby on Sunday.

The Reds have the chance to go back to the top of the Premier League with a win over bitter rivals Everton following Manchester City's 1-0 victory at Bournemouth on Saturday.

Ahead of the huge game at Goodison Park, Liverpool's players appeared to be relaxed before the big game as they were pictured walking around the city in miserable conditions.

The likes of Mohamed Salah and Virgil van Dijk strolled around the city as they loosened up their legs for what should be a frantic game on the other side of Stanley Park.

Most players were wearing heavy coats with their hoods up as they looked to stay dry and warm in the wet conditions on Sunday morning.

Players were bombarded by requests from fans for autographs and selfies on their journey and Klopp and Sadio Mane were among those to oblige.

Striker Roberto Firmino was pictured among the group with questions marks still surrounding his inclusion in the starting line-up.

The Brazilian missed the game against Watford in midweek after suffering an injury in the draw at Manchester United last Sunday.

Divock Origi started in his place in midweek and impressed with a goal and a good all-round  performance in the 5-0 victory at Anfield. The Belgian also scored a bizarre winner in the first derby of the season.

The players were followed on their walk by a whole host of security staff, including a special dogs unit.

It remains to be seen who will form Liverpool's midfield trio against the Toffees with Fabinho, Naby Keita, Jordan Henderson, James Milner, Gini Wijnaldum and Adam Lallana all fit to play.

Xherdan Shaqiri was among those walking the streets while in form full-back pair Andy Robertson and Trent Alexander-Arnold were also pictured.

The Reds have not won a domestic title since 1990 but excitement is growing around Anfield that their long wait for a title could be coming to an end.

But it won't be easy; defending champions Manchester City have hit autopilot in recent weeks and they continue to pick up the points.
