Liverpool transfer news: Lorenzo Insigne 'raid' as Adrien Rabiot race hots up

The European rumour mill is swirling with La Repubblica via Sport Witness claiming Liverpool are launching a £65m assault on Napoli for Lorenzo Insigne.

The report, however, suggests president Aurelio De Laurentiis values the player at closer to £140m.

Unsurprisingly, the Reds won't do business at that price.

Berlin to bid for Grujic?

Hertha Berlin sporting director Michael Preetz says his club want to keep Marko Grujic.

But now Liverpool must decide if they will risk letting the 22-year-old talent go.

“First and foremost, we’re happy that we have Marko,” Preetz told Kicker . “I’d always prefer that a player helps me out for a year than not at all. We’ll certainly talk to Liverpool about the next season.

“That is our goal, and it would be wonderful to successfully take the next step together.”

Gunners edging ahead for Rabiot?

Liverpool have work to do if they are to be the ones to sign wantaway Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Adrien Rabiot.

Arsenal think they have moved ahead in the race to woo the Frenchman.

Rabiot has been training with PSG's U23s for the past month and has no future in the French captial.
