Liverpool will play two pre-season friendlies at Anfield next month in front of the largest crowd since March 2020.
The Reds are set to take on Athletic Club and CA Osasuna in front of a 75 per cent capacity crowd to complete their pre-season schedule ahead of the 2021-22 campaign. The matches are:
Sunday August 8: LFC v Athletic Club, Anfield – kick-off 4pm BST
Monday August 9: LFC v CA Osasuna, Anfield – kick-off 7pm BST
The game against Osasuna will be a tribute to Michael Robinson, who played for both clubs and sadly passed away at the age of 61 in April 2020.
Tickets will be on sale this Wednesday (July 21), with full selling details listed here on Tuesday.
The club is working closely with city partners Liverpool City Council, Merseyside Police and Spirit of Shankly to prioritise the safety of supporters, staff, players and the local community. LFC will also continue to work with football’s governing bodies to adhere to their current guidelines and advice regarding any safety restrictions.
