Liverpool's 25-man squad for the first half of the Premier League season has been confirmed following the closure of the summer European transfer window.

The six-time European champions' squad saw few additions during the summers as Jurgen Klopp opted to stick largely with the same trusted lieutenants who helped him gain a club-record 97 points last season en route to European glory in Madrid .

Goalkeepers Adrian and Andy Lonergan were the only notable additions, the latter having already seen first team action following the departure of Simon Mignolet to Club Brugges and the calf injury Alisson Becker suffered during the opening game of the season against Norwich City.

The 25-man squad is not allowed to include more than 17 non-homegrown players, with eight of them having to be developed in England.

Each club also submits an additional list of registered under-21 players who are eligible to play and do not impact the 25-man squad registration.
