Jones scored the only as he curled a stunning strike in off the cross bar to settle Sunday's third round clash with Merseyside rivals Everton.
The 18-year-old spoke to BT Sports following the 1-0 victory at Anfield, and he baffled football fans with his strong Scouse accent.
"What tf is that accent, sounds Scouse, Irish and German at the same time," one social media user wrote.
A second tweeted: "Why does he sound like @ Joey7Barton with the French accent."
A third added: "Serious question. Where is he from. That's the weirdest accent I've ever heard since Barton tried speaking in a French accent."
