Luis Suarez's talent, ability and success cannot be doubted. The Barcelona forward is LaLiga Santander's second highest goalscorer this season and he has only been bettered by Lionel Messi.
But he still has problems in Europe. The Champions League has seen him hit with a lack of an eye for goal, particularly away from the Camp Nou, but he has the chance to finally get off the mark when he visits Old Trafford.
Suarez hasn't scored away from home in Europe since September 16, 2015, against Roma. Since, he has seven European goals but they've all been at the Camp Nou.
His record in the Champions League is bizarre given how prolific he has been in other competitions. He has netted on 62 occasions away from the Camp Nou since that night in Rome.
A year without scoring
Of Suarez's 22 goals this season, none have been in the Champions League. Nineteen have come in LaLiga Santander and the other three have been in the Copa del Rey.
Astonishingly, he's gone a year without scoring in the competition, last finding the net, curiously against Roma, on April 4, 2018.
Of course, that came at the Camp Nou, but on Wednesday he has the chance to get on the scoresheet at Old Trafford.
