Luiz wishes 'little bro' Christensen a happy birthday as they travel to Prague

David Luiz wished Andreas Christensen a happy 23rd birthday on Instagram as Chelsea set off for Prague.

Chelsea will stay in the Czech Republic on Wednesday night before their Europa League clash with Slavia Prague on Thursday.

And Luiz documented the start of the journey as the Blues set off on the coach.

He posted on his Instagram story with fellow central defender Christensen positioned in front of him.

Luiz wrote: 'Happy birthday little bro. Let's go.' He also put the plane emoji as the players were en route to catch their flight.

The Brazilian has been preferred at the back with Antonio Rudiger this season and Christensen has had to make do with a place on the bench.

But he will expect to be given game time in the Europa League and Thursday will be another chance to press his claim for a first team spot.

Chelsea will be heavy favourites to beat Slavia Prague and secure progression to the first leg of their quarter-final tie at Sinobo Stadium.

Maurizio Sarri's side are one of the strongest teams left in the competition along with London rivals Arsenal, who face Napoli.
