Boyhood Manchester United fan Luke Littler has returned to the club's training ground at Carrington following his recent success at the Bahrain Masters.

The 17-year-old picked up his first senior title last week, defeating Michael van Gerwen 8-5 in the final, after hitting a nine-darter earlier that same evening.

Littler was previously invited by the Red Devils to attend their game against Tottenham and has been pictured alongside the likes of captain Bruno Fernandes and legendary manager Sir Alex Ferguson.

Ahead of his upcoming trip to the Netherlands for the Dutch Masters, he has paid another trip to Carrington where he was pictured alongside Maya Le Tissier.

Lioness defender Le Tissier, shared the picture on her Instagram account, in which she said she was 'buzzing' to meet the darts sensation.

Manchester United Women also shared the picture on their social media accounts with one fan describing the pair as 'one legend in the making and Luke Littler'.

Another United fan suggested that the Red Devils should look to sign the 17-year-old.

They wrote: 'The men's team should sign him. At least he can hit the target.'

The teenager recently pocketed £200,000 by reaching the World Darts Championship final, and revealed that United legends including Rio Ferdinand and Gary Neville had offered messages of support during the tournament at Ally Pally.

He clinched a further £20,000 by beating Van Gerwen to clinch a title at his first World Series event.

It has previously been reported that Littler will appear on Matt Lucas' Fantasy Football League show to discuss his beloved United in the future.

He was also recently given a United shirt with 'The Nuke' alongside the number 180 on his trip to Old Trafford earlier this month.

Littler will have a chance to exact revenge on Luke Humphries when they face off on the opening night of the 2024 Premier League Darts on February 1.

Before that, he will be competing in the Dutch Masters which gets underway on Friday.

Littler recently revealed that his favourite United memory was created by Cristiano Ronaldo - during the Portuguese superstar's disappointing second spell at the club.

He said: 'We were 2-0 down to Atalanta in the Champions League (in October 2021). We came back and won.

'Harry Maguire, Marcus Rashford and then I saw Ronaldo score the winner.'
