Manchester United left back Luke Shaw took part in an England team training session on Monday.
This was the first time that Shaw had trained with his international team-mates this summer, after he reported to Euro 2024 with a hamstring injury.
That injury had kept Shaw out of action for his club side since February and Gareth Southgate's decision to call him up after four months without match action took many people by surprise.
Shaw had previously been working out alone since arriving in Germany but all 26 members of Southgate's squad trained together on the eve of their Group C showdown against Slovenia.
Twenty-eight-year-old Shaw - who has 31 senior international caps to his name - is the only specialist left back in England's squad. Newcastle right back Kieran Trippier started in the No 3 role in the recent games against Serbia and Denmark.
Shaw was closely monitored by Southgate during Monday's session, particularly during a 'rondo' drill.
The former Southampton star looked sharp on the ball and then displayed his impressive pace and agility during a turn in the middle.
It is unlikely that Shaw will start against Slovenia. However, a brief cameo off the bench is a possibility.
If England beat Slovenia and finish top of Group C then they will next be in action on June 30.
The winners of Group C will take on the runners-up from Group F in Gelsenkirchen.
Portugal look set to win Group F, with Turkey or the Czech Republic likely to finish second, although Georgia could technically still claim second spot.

Why wasnt Chiwell taken? thought he had recovered before the season ended? or was he injured again?
and Shaw might not play a single game due. to injury and fitness issues,Trippier keeps struggling game in game out,a natural left back is needed

He is the Lord and Savior who died for or sins like time ago, so that we can have a chance of making heaven when we die or when rapture takes place, once you accept him and live a righteous life. then heaven is sure

🚨⚽️ Just a reminder to the TROLLERS that Romelu Lukaku has more international goals than the football great Pelé. 🇧🇪 Lukaku: 85 goals 🇧🇷 Pelé: 77 goals 😬😬

Southgate sees Luke Shaw as prime Roberto Carlos, Kalvin Philips as prime Ngolo Kanté and Phil Foden as prime Messi.

That's good news for United. I hope they don't disturb him unnecessarily in the nation team because we all know that England won't win. 😂😂😂🙈
