Building work was seen still taking place at Luton Town's Kenilworth Road stadium just hours before their game at home to West Ham.

Luton are set to host David Moyes' team in their first home game since promotion to the Premier League.

Workers were seen applying the finishing touches to turnstiles, while some seats hadn't yet been installed.

Luton hosted Gillingham in the Carabao Cup in midweek.

However, there were still improvements needed to the ground prior to the game against the Hammers.

Following their promotion to the Premier League, Luton had to upgrade their stadium to meet the league's requirements for broadcasters.

The Hatters had to postpone their home game against Burnley due to the fact that their new stand wasn't ready.

The Bobbers Stand was finally opened for the game against Gillingham, with the game seen as a test event.

Kenilworth Road has been Luton's home since 1905, but had a capacity of just 10,356 last season. However, the upgrade on the Bobbers stand has increased the seating to beyond 11,300.

The new capacity means the ground won't be the smallest in the Premier League, with the increased capacity moving it to around the same as Bournemouth's Vitality Stadium, which holds 11,379.

Luton hope to complete a move to a brand new 26,000 capacity stadium by 2026 at Power Court, close to the city centre.
