Lyon sign Jason Denayer from Manchester City

Olympique Lyon announced this weekend that they will sign Jason Denayer from Manchster City.

In a statement the French side said the Belgian centre-back, 23, is now in Lyon and his transfer will be completed soon.

President Jean-Michel Aulas moved for this 'surprise' deal after failing to sign Ruben Dias from Benfica.

"Benfica have shut the door to Ruben Dias, we have lost a month. We're going elsewhere, we've negotiated with Manchester City," said Aulas.

Galatasaray, who had him on loan, wanted to keep him but Lyon took advantage and struck.
