According to the Daily Mail, Manchester United manager Carrick's future remains uncertain. Manchester United's top brass held urgent discussions on Monday regarding his position, but the club has yet to make a final decision.
Following Sunday's 0-3 home defeat to AFC Bournemouth, Manchester United now sit just one point above the Premier League relegation zone, and Carrick faces intense pressure to be sacked. CEO Omar Berrada and Football Director Jason Wilcox were both present at Carrington training ground on Monday and held a conference call with minority shareholder Sir Jim Ratcliffe and co-chairmen Joel Glazer and Avram Glazer to discuss Carrick's future.
Manchester United gave the squad the day off on Monday, but Carrick attended Carrington to watch a closed-door match against Hull City. The match featured fringe players and youth team players. Carrick arrived at the training ground at 1:50 PM local time and watched the game with assistant coach S. Holland and U18 head coach Tyler Fletcher, leaving shortly after Wilcox departed. It is unclear whether Carrick spoke with club officials.
Notably, captain Bruno Fernandes was also at Carrington on Monday for treatment. The day before, Carrick had excluded Bruno Fernandes from the starting lineup. Although Carrick insisted the decision was purely for footballing reasons, there is speculation that it may be related to Bruno Fernandes' criticism of the team's tactics in an interview following last week's Champions League loss to Como.
Bruno Fernandes later appeared to respond via social media. On Sunday night, he liked a post that read: "Don't push a loyal person to the point where they no longer care."

Those hierarchy holding meetings should sack themselves first. They are the root cause. How come many managers couldn't perform at the club? Something is wrong with the hierarchy
