Mainoo and Rashford miss out as Man Utd players again absent from England squad

England announced their squad for this month's matches against Croatia and Spain, with no Manchester United players included.

In the previous squad announcement, Manchester United had Mainoo and Rashford called up, but both later withdrew from camp due to injury. This time, neither was selected, nor were other Manchester United players such as Maguire, Luke Shaw and Mount.

Notably, since October 2024, when Mainoo withdrew through injury and Manchester United's 48-year streak of having a representative in the England senior squad came to an end, this is the ninth England senior camp without a Manchester United player (counted by the club the player actually played for, excluding loan players, and including injury withdrawals).

England will face Croatia and Spain this month in the final two rounds of their UEFA Nations League group stage.
