Technical director Paolo Maldini said Milan coach Stefano Pioli ‘has a special role’ at Milanello and claimed ‘everyone grows with him’.
Milan are first in Serie A after Week 10 and currently on an unbeaten run of 22 games in the League, continuing their great form in 2020.
Maldini has praised coach Pioli for his work at Milanello and said the former Fiorentina coach brings ‘sensitivity and intensity’-
“He has a special role,” Maldini told La Gazzetta dello Sport. “He brings calmness, balance, knowledge of football.
“He brings sensitivity, but also intensity. Calm and not intense? That’s what you perceive from the outside.
“But I assure you, Pioli is amazing. He knows how to push them in his own way. I think this is an opportunity to make the leap, even for him.
“Everyone is growing with him. A spark has sprung at Milan, something that perhaps didn’t take off at other clubs.
“It’s difficult to say why it happened, but when I was playing, I felt the difference between this and other top European clubs. Milan commands respect, perhaps precisely because they have won and lost so much.”
