The Real Madrid goalkeeper has been relegated to the bench with arrival of Courtois.
Keylor Navas has gone from being the hero of Real Madrid's last three Champions League titles to a near-fixture on the bench after the arrival of Belgian stopper Thibaut Courtois. The Costa Rican's frustration at his lack of playing time has now got to the point where he's decided he can no longer do nothing and simply sit and watch the action from the sidelines.
Navas on the bench for Real Madrid
He's only played five games in LaLiga this season
Navas had hoped he'd get a chance to prove his worth at the Club World Cup, but Solari stuck doggedly with Courtois, and has even gone so far as to indicate it would be best for the Costa Rican to find somewhere else to ply his trade. And now, Thibaut Courtois is set to be Real Madrid's first choice goalkeeper for the 2019/20 season, with Andriy Lunin being his backup between the sticks.
And with Navas' solid track record at the very highest level of the game, the suitors have started to come forward.
Arsenal: the main contender
Unai Emery's Arsenal are leading the chase to woo Navas, with the Spanish coach being a firm fan of the Costa Rican keeper. According to reports in England, the 'Gunners' have 13 million euros lined up to bring Navas in. The London outfit is so far the only side to have made an offer for the player so far.
Juventus keen on Keylor
Another possible destination for Keylor Navas is Turin, at the hand of Serie A side Juventus, where the word is that the club are not entirely convinced by Sczezny. Navas is seen as the chance to bring in a world-class, trophy-winning keeper.
Manchester City and the others...
In addition to these two, a number of other clubs are looking keenly at the situation, with the majority of them in the Premier League and Serie A. Manchester City could make a move in January, with Chilean Claudio Bravo having suffered an injury, and despite the fact they have Ederson in their ranks.
In Italy, Milan could step in if they lose Gianluigi Donnaruma, while Inter could also be looking for a keeper if, as seems likely Samir Handanovic, their current keeper, seeks fresh pastures.
