Sergio Aguero was showered with tributes on the eve of his final Premier League game for Manchester City, including a full-scale mural in the city centre immortalising his greatest goal.
The 32-year-old Argentine is leaving City at the end of the 2020-21 campaign after a decade at the club.
City have already commissioned a statue of the striker to publicly celebrate his legacy in east Manchester but with work ongoing, his final game was marked with a mural, training ground mosaic and a very shiny photoshoot.
Prior to Sunday's league season finale against Everton, Aguero headed into the city centre to observe a mural capturing his greatest single moment in a city shirt.
In the Northern Quarter area of the city, Aguero's famous celebration after netting a stoppage time winner against Queens Park Rangers in 2012 to seal City's first title scales an entire building.
Along with the artist impression and the infamous Martin Tyler 'Agueroooo' commentary, there is a message to the Argentine which reads: 'This will always be your city'.
Fans keen to get their own photograph of the new mural can find it on Dale Street.
Back at City's training ground, Aguero was beaming as he was presented with a mosaic of himself celebrating one of his 182 Premier League goals.
The mosaic has been installed at the City Football Academy, beside a training pitch that will now carry his name.
Aguero is City's all-time record scorer and the mosaic, created and designed by Manchester-based sculptor and City fan Mark Kennedy, is one of a number of gestures by the club.
Yaya Toure, Joe Hart, Vincent Kompany and David Silva, who all departed prior to Aguero, have been honoured having played a key role in those early years breaking through for success..
Aguero, who is in talks with Barcelona over a deal to join the Catalan side this summer, could only reflect back on his magic moment over QPR as he stood next to his mural.
'It is the best memory I'll ever have in my head. I don't think it will happen again in another country or in this one,' Aguero said.
'It was the best moment of my life. Every time I watch the goal with my friends or my son shows it to me, it feels like yesterday even though a lot of time has passed.
'It was just so crazy. So amazing. We won more titles after that but the celebrations that year were very different. We went with our families and everyone from the club to party that night.
'We were all still in shock. I think we celebrated for two days in a row. It was incredible. We would shout, "Champions, champions!" all the time. We were just so happy. It was a unique moment.'

I will never forget that game, that goal either. Man U were playing the same time too, a draw or loss for City coupled with Man U win meant Man U wins the league. Man U had bn leading by a goal to nil over (I can't remember the team, maybe Sunderland)...some of us were watching the City game hoping City would dethrone Man U to bn the champions. They lead 1 nil for sometime until QPR scored twice to lead 1-2 going into the 80 sth minute. I think Man U game finished, and they showed an elicopter heading to Man U to give them the trophy when City scored sth like in the 89th minute. At this moment Man U were almost celebrating...until the impossible happened. Aguerooooooooooooooo. What a game. U can imagine how happy some of us who wanted City to win were.
