Kilmarnock kid Liam Smith has sealed a £200,000 switch to English champions Manchester City.
The 17-year-old winger ended months of speculation by putting pen to paper on a four year deal on Friday.
The Scotland youth international was the subject interest from a raft of clubs, including Liverpool and Rangers.
However, the youngster from Stevenson in Ayrshire will join the City academy on a scholarship next week, before a three year professional contract kicks in from June.
SPFL Premiership Kilmarnock tried hard to keep their brightest academy prospect, but will now settle for £200,000 in training compensation.
Smith caught the eye of clubs after scoring the winner for Scotland's under-16 side against Malta in a three team tournament on the Mediteranean island in March.
