Manchester City have just two more Premier League games before the winter break for the World Cup. They know two wins from games against Fulham and Brentford will stand them in good stead near the top of the Premier League heading into the second half of the season.
First up is the Cottagers, who have surprised many this term following years of yo-yoing between the top flight and Championship. Marco Silva's side will certainly pose a threat and arrive in Manchester in the heady heights of seventh.
But Pep Guardiola has a clutch of City players who are well-rested after being stood down for the midweek Champions League win over Sevilla. The biggest headache he has is over whether to reinstate Erling Haaland after the goal machine sat out the last two matches with a minor injury.
City fans have been using our team selection tool and the most popular starting XI shows eight changes from that aforementioned Sevilla success.
Only Ruben Dias, Phil Foden and Jack Grealish are chosen to stay in the team. In goal, the logical choice will see number one Ederson return in place of Stefan Ortega. In defence City fans perhaps sprang a surprise by opting to choose Nathan Ake to partner Dias at centre-half.
Despite Rico Lewis and Sergio Gomez impressing midweek, City fans opt for John Stones and Joao Cancelo at right-back and left-back respectively.
In midfield fans are calling for Rodri, Kevin de Bruyne and Bernardo to be recalled - something that looks highly likely. Whilst up front, unsurprisingly, Haaland gets overwhelming backing to return to the starting XI, flanked by Foden and Grealish.

Teams are slowly becoming 'Halaand resilient'. Someone will soon run dry of goals. Unless more force is used, and the refs keep ignoring, then it is ok for more goals. But if VAR is working, disallowed goals will increase. So using Halaand is kind of risk - low risk. But benefits outweigh risks and that's the game changer! EPL is still up for grabs. Teams must work for it if they want to stay top.

Pep ain't no fool; dropping points ain't on the menu anytime. Others are chasing and one is ahead.
