Man City kit man puts £40,000 Car on eBay just days after winning it in raffle

Manchester City's kit man has put a Range Rover on eBay that was gifted by the departing club legend Sergio Aguero.

Aguero organised a raffle for staff before saying his emotional goodbyes and joining Barcelona as a free agent last week.

Before he left, Ally Marland, a popular member of the backroom staff since he joined in 2012, was the lucky winner and embraced the Argentine when he was handed the keys in the car park.

But Ally and his wife Nicky already have two cars so they have decided to put the 2016 Range Rover Evoque - valued at £40,000 - on eBay with a starting price of £23,000.

The Range Rover only has 10,500 miles on the clock and is expected to fetch a good price online.

A total of five per cent of the sale will be donated to Derian House Children's Hospice in Chorley as a kind gesture from the couple.

'We are aware of the work they do and how they rely on donations to operate,' Nicky told the Sun.

Aguero was adored by City fans and staff at the club for his decade of exemplary service, during which time he won the Premier League five times, the FA Cup once and the League Cup on six occasions.

The generous striker, in addition to the raffle with the Range Rover, spent £60,000 in total on watches for each of the 60 members of City's first team staff.

Each of them were given either a Hublot or Tag Heuer watch which had the words 'Gracias! Kun Aguero' engraved.

City's record goalscorer was unveiled at Barcelona last week and will partner Argentine compatriot Lionel Messi next season.
